First:
REGISTER (IF YOU DID THIS LAST YEAR SKIP THIS)
ENTER YOUR NAME COUNTRY AND EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE RIGHT THREAD
YOU CAN ONLY ENTER IN ONE CATEGORY: CARDS (INCLUDING ATC CARDS), SCRAPBOOKING (INCLUDING MIXED MEDIA, ART JOURNALING, HYBRID SCRAPBOOKING, NO DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING) OR PROJECT LIFE (NEW IN 2015)
You are not automatically in if you joined in 2014.
From here it really gets interesting. We want a stable, divided group of contestants equally divided over the countries. This means that the same number of people of each country will start in the challenges! (This can be either in the scrap challenge or in the card challenge )
Note: You will be doing all the challenges individually. We choose the minimum of 10 people of one country so that every country has a fair chance to join, but you need to do a little effort to 'collect' 10 scrappy friends!
Example:
Denmark has only 5 registered contestants. None of the Danish girls/boys can start the battle!
If there are 10, your country can join the battle!
We count (January 15, 2015) the lowest number of participants of a country. Those are the numbers of participants that will be allowed!
We will keep you updated of the participants every month or so on this forum and our facebook group.
Example:
Netherlands has 54 registrations, France 25 and USA 34, only the FIRST 25 of each country can join! (If you help find a few more French people so that there will be 34, the first 34 of each country can join)
We will keep you updated on the blog and facebook, so that you will know in time if you are in...or that you need to find more friends!
So it is important to:
Ask as many scrappy friends and cardmakers over the whole world to join the challenge!
Be as fast as possible to register! First come, first serve basis! If you are number 12 and only 11 can compete, you are OUT!!! (We understand this is a bit stressful, but we think it is important to have equal numbers of each country, and we want to thank the ones that are the first (because they also help out to find more people!) But there is plenty of time to find more scrappers to join your group!
About the challenges:
There will probably 5-6 rounds to determine the winner in each of the 3 groups card, scrapbooking and Project life (depending on the number of people joining us)
You will have plenty of time to finish a project (1-2 weeks). So no stress!
You will post your projects on this forum. We will tell you exactly where and how later.
You can vote for projects you like most. We will choose groups of winners, so not 1 tot 1 battles! This will be a much better way to determine who deserves to go to the next round.
The voting will only be done by our own forum members. So you do not depend on as many facebookfriends as possible as you see in many other battles. And because we have a very divided group of many countries, you will notice that it is not possible that only the girls from one country will make it to the next round. We will closely monitor this! We want the best to go to the next round, not groups of friends.
The challenges will challenge you, but you don't have to be a pro! There will be a few things that you will have to to for each challenge, but besides that there will be plenty of room to show your personal style. Because we think that it is important that it is not a struggle to make projects. It should be fun.
But also this year we will be firm. If you don't meet the requirements for a challenge you are out!
We have learned a lot from our first tournament and we plan to make this second tournament even better and bigger! Will you join (again)?
