The weather has been really bad, so struggled to get photos. Finally got some and have done my layout. Using KAISERCRAFT Base Coat 3 range of papers and Prima Flowers. I used a stencil and some Texture Paste with paint to create the bricks , added some gauze and flowers and with my house being the centrepoint, added a bling circle to highlight my spot in the world ! My journalling reads: There is nothing so beautiful as a stunning VIEW of the sunset or a stunning full moon in the clear night sky. It is made even more beautiful when you are sitting on your balcony with a glass of wine and taking it all in. We are very fortunate to live within a Nature Reserve and right on the side of a hill. The views are amazing and you can see for miles around you. It is so relaxing to just sit on the balcony and watch the world go by while we delicately sip on our wine and feel like royalty up in our castle on the hill. Hi girls ! Here's my take on the first challenge …
The 4 pictures have been taken in our garden, along the last 3 years (from the moment we moved in Beaugency). The journaling is about how it was difficult to me, a city kind of girl, to live in the countryside, though life here is enjoyable and sweet … and how I'm NOT sad that maybe we will soon leave this place and move again !!!
The backgroud is a layering of gesso, collage of paper bits of different kinds and sizes and modeling past used with a mask. Chipboards (big words) have also been glued and covered with gesso. Colors are Pan Pastel, acrylic inks (ink!, by Liquitex) and acrylic paint (Silks, by luminarte). As a final touch, I've sprinkled a few splatters of black india ink.
You can see some close-ups on my blog, right here : thecoloredsideofmylife.blogspot.fr
Hope you have enjoy it !!!

Here is my take on the challenge. I used Kaiser Craft Base Coat Collection for the background. Dimensional medium and a mask was used for the stars which I also glazed. I embossed the white tags and covered the banners with washi tape. I used a Sew Easy Inker to make the scallops. The title was cut on the silhouette and glazed. My journaling was written on my computer and printed on card stock(I hate my hand writing!) Attachments:

My Layout for this round:
The centre is the co-ordinates of my house, written over my house number. 3 circles were drawn to indicate 10 steps, 100 & 1000 steps away. 3 colours to indicate the distances I took photos of the wonderful trees in my neighbourhood. The journaling was done on vellum over 3 photos of shoes I'm wearing, shoes that made the different journeys. Hope you like my simple LO, it tells my story well On my blog I've shown some more: scrapperslane.blogspot.com/2014/02/round-1.html

Hello girls, Here's my double layout with 3 pictures of my environment around my house. When I read the instructions, I immediately thought of a layout type project life. Before starting my layout, I threw my Twinkling H2O ink with a brush. Then I built my page, with my journaling (more than 50 words). To frame my page I used an orange gelatos, I applied with my finger.

Hi everyone Here is my take on the challenge. I used various papers and tore the edges and inked the edges with brown chalk. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the dark brown cardstock. I added embossed copper swirls onto the layout and embossed the chipboard tree, bird cage and birds. I added copper brads, buttons, flowers and twin to finish it off. My handwritten journaling comes to 55 words: "I am truly blessed to live on an Estate where there are beautifully maintained parks. One of my favourite things to do is take a stroll along the paths, especially through the dense tree areas. Sometimes this is all I need to still my mind. I love the sense of calm and peace, it's bliss!" The park is within 1000 steps of my home
